SMG Masonry completed a full chimney restoration for this Chicago home, addressing significant brick deterioration caused by years of exposure to the elements. The project involved tearing down the damaged chimney and rebuilding it with new, high-quality brick to restore both function and appearance.
To ensure long-term durability, we applied commercial-grade masonry sealer to prevent future water infiltration, a common issue that accelerates brick decay. Additionally, we performed expert tuckpointing and caulking to reinforce the surrounding masonry, sealing any gaps and cracks.
